                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 7127 LEE
                   HIGHWAY, BEING ON THE NORTHWEST LINE OF LEE
                   HIGHWAY AT ST. STEPHENS PLACE, FROM R-1
                   RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO C-2 CONVENIENCE COMMERCIAL
                   ZONE, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 7127 Lee Highway, being
                on the northwest line of Lee Highway at St.
                Stephens Place.  Lots 42 and 66, block B, Plat of
                Part of the Property of Robin Sterchi on Lee
                Highway, as shown by plat of record in plat book
                15, page 23, ROHC; being the property described as
                Parcel Two in deed book 4411, page 355, ROHC.  Tax
                Map No. 139P-B-20.
               
               
         from R-1 Residential Zone to C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone.
              SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 
shall
         be subject to the following conditions:

              1.   A fifty (50) foot building line subject to an 
inventory
         to be filed by applicant and that there be a solid screen of 
trees
         on the north shielding the property from the adjacent 
residential
         zone; and
        
              2.   All existing easements are retained.
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         provided by law.
